My surveyor has made a mistake, what can I do?
Surveyors, just like any other professional, make mistakes. Sometimes the surveyor’s mistake can have far reaching consequences for their client and result in substantial financial loss. Are there any time limits I should be aware of?
Yes. The standard limitation period is 6 years from the date of the surveyor’s mistake, or 3 years from the date you first discovered the mistake. However time limits are complex and professional advice should always be taken.
